High Throughput Computer-Aided Prostate Cancer Diagnosis with Quantitative Phase Imaging and Machine Learning
Tân Hữu Nguyễn is working with Dr. Gabriel Popescu and Dr. Minh N. Do in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to develop new computational tools for better diagnosis of prostate cancer. His research combines high throughput, label-free imaging of transparent biopsies with machine learning to obtain accurate diagnosis results at lower cost to patients. The method relies on intrinsic information of the samples. Therefore, it is very robust to all variations of imaging conditions and can be translated across different clinics.
